*Footnote -" MediaMax was the 1st Networked Multi-Room, Multimedia Server*" -- Defined as the first multi-room client server system to support movies, music, photos, Web media, Internet radio and other multimedia.

Origin of the Corporate Name - Axonix

The name Axonix is based on the combination of the two words Axon plus Electronics.

Axon- definition - "Axis" of Neurons or Center of Neural Pathways of Central Nervous System in the Brain

An axon, or "nerve fiber," is a long slender projection of a nerve cell, or "neuron," which conducts electrical impulses away from the neuron's cell body or soma. Axons are in effect the primary transmission lines of the nervous system, and as bundles they help make up nerves.
