Distributed MediaDeck Application Overview

In a distributed MediaDeck topology, you connect a MediaDeck in every room or zone to the Ethernet and directly to the home TV/audio theatre system where you want to access movies, music and other media.

You can attach an unlimited number of MediaDecks to a single MediaServer. Up to 16 same or different simultaneous movies may be instantly played. The number of simultaneous media playbacks is determined by the available network bandwidth. A greater number of simultaneous audio playback is possible. Servers that support greater than 16 simultaneous movies are available.

Either the included hand held remote control or custom touch panels with optional software can be used to control the playback of media. You may use either MediaStore Firewire add-on storage or Windows Networked Storage Appliances for additional media storage. Windows PC's may both access media and be used for administration of the MediaMax.
