Axonix Corporation Enhances the SuperCD
Latest Software Version, CD-Vision Tools, Includes Full NT Authentication, NDS and Web Browser Support
Salt Lake City, UT (June 1, 1998) - Axonix Corporation, a leader in Networked Attached CD Server technology, announced today the latest enhancement to its SuperCD™ product line.
With the release of the version 4.10 software enhancement for CD Vision Tools, SuperCD now offers unparalleled convenience for installing in Windows NT and Novell NetWare environments. The latest release enables network administrators to perform user and trustee authentication against the NetWare Directory Services (NDS) tree and the Windows NT domain controller. Users defined in the Novell file server’s NDS tree or Windows NT domain can seamlessly log in and use the SuperCD’s resources.
When configured to support NDS or NT authentication, the SuperCD™ and its volumes are added to the NDS tree or NT Domain within specified context. Volume-level access for SuperCD™ is defined using standard NetWare tools such as NWADMIN or Windows Explorer.
CD Vision Tools also allows users to access and manage SuperCD™ using standard web browsers such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Explorer. Attaching the SuperCD™ to a network that is routed to the internet lets administrators manage volumes over the internet.
"The release of CD Vision Tools assures the SuperCD’s position as the industry’s leading networked attached CD-ROM solution. We listened to our customers and incorporated the features that they wanted. Administrators will appreciate the NDS and NT enhancements as well as the web browser support," said Russell Neale, Director of Sales and Marketing.
The CD-Vision Tools upgrade for existing SuperCD™ customers is available directly from Axonix.
