Axonix introduces 512 cd-rom server for legal firms

DATE: January 10th , 2001

The new SuperCD Juris servers will simultaneously serve 20 to 512 CD based documents to as many as 250 attorneys. Server prices range from $1,895 to $9,645 depending upon capacity.

The standalone SuperCD server product line is a breakthrough in Network Attached Storage in both performance and price. The SuperCD server provides access to both CDs and DVDs and delivers the information to an attorney’s desktop computer regardless if it runs on Windows, NT, Mac, Novell or Unix network and computer operating systems. The network-ready SuperCD server runs over both slow or fast (10 or 100 MBS) Ethernet networks while relieving the network server of voluminous traffic.

The SuperCD obsoletes old, slow CD-ROM towers by mirroring each CD’s content onto a fast, mass hard disk drive using its Turbocaching ™ technology. Now virtual CDs can operate at the same super fast speeds of desktop computers and enhance the productivity of both small and large law firms. Using the network browser or clicking on an icon, attorneys can effortlessly share notes, case histories, statutes, as well as common CDs such as LawDesk, Mathew Bender Authority, Premise, CCH, Case Finder, LOIS, and Shepards.

The SuperCD is easy to use and manage as evidenced by the thousands of units installed in public, college and law libraries, school computer labs, state legislatures, and federal agencies. Axonix Corporation has been manufacturing productivity enhancing products for personal computer users since 1983.
