It's as Easy as 1,2,3

Simply follow the steps below and select the MediaMax system that meets your personal needs.

Select either a MediaDeck/MediaServer™ System or Tera™ System depending on the control system and zone/media capacity requirements.

A. MediaDeck™/MediaServer™ System – For 2 Way Control and 3+ Zone Systems

MediaDeck/MediaServer systems are required for projects requiring more than 3 simultaneous playback zones and 2 Way* Controlled systems.  Having a MediaServer also allows you load media faster directly on the MediaServer and support larger and better RAID 6 protected storage than Tera systems.  A MediaServer also has unique Media Management options not offered in a Tera system such as downloading online media, importing photos and managing music collections.

1.  Select one or more MediaDeck™ Players to play your media.

and

2.  Select a MediaServer™ Server to store and deliver your media to your MediaDeck Players.

B. Tera™ All-In-One System – For 1 Way Control and 1-3 Zone Systems

A Tera system may be more cost-effective If you only need to simultaneously play media in 3 or less zones (rooms) and you are not using a 2 Way* remote control system. Teras include internal storage up to 3TBs that may be shared across all Teras or optionally other MediaDecks. Consider the MediaDeck/MediaServer system above if you need additional Media Management features including downloading online media, importing photos and managing music collections.

1. Select up to three Tera™ Media Players with up to 3TBs of internal storage to store and play your media without requiring a MediaServer.

*What is a 2 Way Control System?

A 2 Way Control system includes LCD Touch Panels from companies including Crestron®, AMX® and Philips® where the Touch Panel not only send commands TO the MediaMax but also retrieves and displays FROM the MediaMax, Cover Art and other media related information.

Select a MediaDeck™ Series

Select the MediaDeck Player Series from the table below that meets your personal needs.

2. Select MediaDeck™ Quantity

Decide how many “zones” or rooms you want to simultaneously play movies and music in.  You will need to have one Media Player for each of these zones.

3. Select either a Blu-ray® or a DVD Optical Drive

Besides the 3 Series all Players support stored Blu-ray® playback.  Select a Blu-ray® drive if you would also like to play or load physical Blu-ray® discs or the DVD drive if playing and loading DVDs and CDs is sufficient.  It is not necessary to load Blu-ray discs from the Media Player since you may also load Blu-ray® discs directly on the MediaServer.

Tera™ System Selector Guide

The Tera™ all-in-on Player and Storage System plays all of your media including movies, music and photos stored internally or optionally from other Teras and/or a MediaServer.

The Tera™ is perfect for 1 to 3 zone, non-2 Way control applications.  The Tera does not require a MediaServer* since it includes up to 3TBs of internal storage.  You can share storage among multiple Teras or MediaServers.

Tera versus a MediaDeck/MediaServer System: For applications that require 2 Way Control, more than 3 simultaneous playback zones, additional media management or larger RAID protected storage then consider a MediaDeck/MediaServer system.

*A MediaServer is required for 2 Way control systems such as Crestron® and AMX®.
